SNL’s Leslie Jones won the hearts of the Twitterverse during the Rio 2016 Olympics as she live-tweeted and posted her reactions concerning the various sporting aspects of the event.

In her maiden post, covering the 10-meter air rifle event, Leslie wore an apparel in the fashion of the United States flag post.

As her funny commentaries of the Olympics continued, Leslie commanded the attention of more and more people, until she was noticed by NBC. And pronto, they flew her to Rio to give live commentaries.

Leslie Jones has been drafted once again by NBC to cover the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

The enthusiasm she exuded during her coverage of the 2016 Olympics in Rio, which increased her audience on Twitter, is the reason people are anxious to see her cover the sports events in PyeongChang.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jim Bell, president of NBC Olympics production and programming, relayed the statement:

Experiencing the Olympics through the lens of Leslie is unlike anything else. Her passion for Team USA is contagious, and her adventures in South Korea should be fascinating.
