She comes from a talented family of artists. Emma’s dad is an American actor Eric Roberts. And you may think it was Eric who inspired his daughter to pursue acting career, but it was another successful family member – aunt Julia Roberts.

As a child, the actress spent a lot of time on set of various films, including Erin Brockovich. There, she liked to play hide-and-seek, hiding in Julia’s makeup trailer. And little girl was so impressed by everything going on around her that she began auditioning very young.

Although she landed her first roles quite soon, Emma’s mom, Kelly Cunningham, still warned her about the negative consequences of being a young actor. Eric had drug-abuse issues and problems with the law.

Besides, Emma’s parents went through a bitter split, having to battle for the custody over the girl. So, all this has significantly affected Robert’s outlook on acting and family life.

It was not always smooth for Emma who sometimes didn’t get the roles she wanted. But when she got the role in American Horror Story, it finally brought her fame to a new level.

By the way, Julia doesn’t like this TV series. But it’s not because of bad acting or production. Rather, Emma’s aunt hates horror movies and can’t even get through commercials.

And Emma can’t blame her. Sometimes, she has the same problem watching the TV series, although she is friends with all the actors and knows that it’s not real.
