Students at the Burlington Danes Academy must be really surprised to find out the Duke of Cambridge as their teacher. Don’t worry! Prince William is not going to quit his royal duties and become a college teacher. He just paid a visit to the learning institution to discuss the problem of cyberbullying with students.

The main goal of duke’s visit to the Burlington Danes Academy was his big concerns over body image and overall impact of the Internet and social media.

In his speech, Prince William said he really worries about unrealistic standards of beauty promoted by numerous fashion brands. This problem is more relevant to teenagers who tend to follow hyperbolized beauty standards harmful to their health and mental condition.

I worry for you girls. The touched-up pictures are not real. Don’t try to recreate them or think that’s what you’ve got to aim for.

William has a strict point of view considering the influence of the Internet and social media on the young minds. He is confident that mental health is as important as physical health, and when kids spend most of their time in the web, it may lead to very sad consequences for their well-being.

Don’t spend all day online. Seriously, don’t. For your mental health, get outside, come away from the screen.

Prince William is also involved in work on mental health with the Heads Together campaign. The program aims to change the national conversation on mental well-being.
