A little background on the blonde-maned Farrah Fawcett.
Did you know that besides acting, Farrah Fawcett was a model and an artist too? Her acting career kicked off starring in commercials as well as small roles in television?
The ABC television series, Charlie’s Angels was the big break that thrust Fawcett to unimaginable stardom in Hollywood.
Fawcett received three Emmy Award nominations during her lifetime, but she was credited with a fourth nomination, posthumously. She was also a six-time Golden Globe nominee.
The 1976 red swimsuit poster capturing Farrah’s iconic pose has remained the best-selling poster in history.
Her Battle with cancer and sad demise.
Farrah Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006. After undergoing treatment, she was cancer-free, but in the summer of 2007, she experienced a relapse.
Sadly, in spite of her brave battle with the condition, in June 2009 she passed away.
She survived by a partner, Ryan O’Neal and a son, presently in his thirties which they had together.

This week, the world honors the 71-year-old iconic talent that had embodied the spirited Farrah Fawcett who stunned a worldwide audience in the 1970s and 80s.
Besides the red swimsuit of 1976, and her unforgettable role in Charlie’s Angels, Farrah Fawcett started the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, in 2007 to focus on cancer research and explore new ways to help patients fight the disease.
Farrah also produced the 2009 NBC documentary, ‘Farrah’s Story’, which was a biopic of her battle with cancer. That project earned her a posthumous recognition.
