Relax, Marvel fans. Stan Lee is back!

He was briefly hospitalized, but nothing could keep the legend down. Without Stan, there would be no Marvel Universe.

The Man. The Legend, Stan Lee.

Stan Lee (formerly Stanley Lieber) is the former chairman of Marvel Comics and the man responsible for creating the majority of the characters in the Marvel Universe.

Alongside his frequent collaborators, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, Stan spent most of the 1960s to 80s illustrating and creating original stories for many of our favorite comic book superheroes and villains.

He was responsible for creating The Fantastic Four, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk and the X-Men (with Jack Kirby), and with Steve Ditko, Dr. Strange. At the ripe old age of 95, Stan has definitely earned his legend status and every single cameo he has made (and will make) in any future Marvel film.

But old age comes with its perils, which might explain why he was hospitalized on Thursday.

In 2012, Stan Lee underwent an operation to insert a cardiac pacemaker, and so he had to be taken to the hospital on Thursday when he developed an irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath.

It was a short stay though, with Stan Lee back home, and while speaking with ABC7’s George Pennacchio, he said:

All I really want to do is tell you that I'm feeling great. I'm glad I spent that evening in the hospital, and it did me a lot of good.

That’s great news for Marvel fans all over the world, and we can't wait to see another cameo from Stan in yet another Marvel movie.

Possible future Stan Lee cameos.

His most recent cameo was in the movie Black Panther that premiered in Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre. Before that, Stan Lee had a cameo in Thor: Ragnarok where he is seen cutting Thor’s hair.

A look at Marvel's roster tells us we will see Stan Lee again in Deadpool 2, and The Ant-man and The Wasp, both slated for release later this year.

There are more than a couple Marvel movies still in the works, but none of them would even exist without Stan Lee.

Our best wishes are with Stan and we hope to see him in more interesting cameos (like when he appears in Iron Man, looking like Hugh Hefner) and in more Marvel movies.

Which of his movies thrills you the most and why?
