Starting a family is a lovely thing. When those kids start to roll in excitement, the joy for the couple is increased even more. But what happens when the child who is to be a bundle of joy comes with deformities that require huge sums of money to treat?
This is the scenario Jimmy Kimmel finds himself with their newborn son William, who they have nicknamed Billy. Jimmy Kimmel came on air and talked about the surgery of his son. He also spoke extensively about how the changes in the health care system will affect the lives of a lot of Americans.

He is married to Molly who he says cries on TV while his son Billy seems to care less. According to Kimmel:

What happened to his son?
The love of a father was revealed through the words and body language of Jimmy on his show 10 days after his son was born. As he was speaking, he became emotional.

Apparently, this was something that touched him deeply. I mean, who wouldn't be touched by a 3-days-old son having to undergo an open-heart surgery? According to the doctors, the procedure was necessary to begin to fix the issues with his heart and the hole that was said to be located within it.
The health care situation
Jimmy also spoke about the health care situation and the drive by the government to repeal Obamacare. Criticizing the move of the current Trump led decision on healthcare, he praised Obamacare which came to his rescue in his son’s case.

As it stands, his son who is still in his infancy, has undergone two surgeries successfully and is billed to have another later in life.
