About SAG Awards
Among all the award ceremonies conducted yearly, SAG Awards is one of the most popular. It brings together the finest actors from the best movies and it also offers an opportunity for stars to connect with one another. At the 24th session of the award ceremony, outstanding acts of film and television actors were honored.
When people come together, conversations begin, memories are shared, and new experiences are created. This was no different at the 2018 SAG awards.
Celebrities making connections
1. Actors William Dafoe and James Franco.
These two were seen interacting with each other and recalling fun memories. The duo acted in a previous series of Spiderman where they played the part of being villains. 17 years is a long time since that movie was released. They sure had some catching up to do.
2. Alexander Skarsgard and Margot Robbie.
Ever heard of Tarzan? That famous kid who grew up in the jungle? At the awards, Alexander Skarsgard and Margot Robbie reconnected. They brought back memories of that epic movie.
3. Gary Oldman and Winona Ryder.
Gary, who clinched the title of the Best Actor, was also at this event. Winona Ryder was seen giving him an embrace. This brought to mind their time together on the set of the movie, Dracula.
Could he want to taste some blood again? Thankfully, that only happens in the movies.
Other important highlights
Morgan Freeman, who is now well aged and experienced in the film industry, was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award amidst standing ovations from the people present.
The red carpet for this special event was lit with two amazing and beautiful women who were adorned with beautiful attires and smiled gracefully. Who are these women? They are Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis.
You couldn’t have asked for a better red carpet host. The duo synced together and made this part of the event so memorable.
Amidst other exciting moments at the awards, there was a clarion call to stand up for what’s right. Women aired their voice about the harassment they faced and how speaking up can bring about an end to the negative trends in their industry.
In all ramifications, the SAG Awards was an amazing event, and we can't wait for the 2019 edition to see what other out of tradition tricks the organizers may have for us.
