"The Hunger Games" Star Jennifer Lawrence Makes Christmas Visit To Norton Children's Hospital

Christmas is the season of love and good cheer. All around the world, people share love and hope as well as support their loved ones and strangers. It’s in the light of this that Jennifer Lawrence made her yearly trip to Norton Children's Hospital. The actress has made it a habit to visit sick children over Christmas, and this year was not different.


How it all started

Four years ago, The Hunger Games actress made a visit to Louisville, her hometown, where she visited the kids at Norton Children's Hospital, spreading the joy and love of Christmas.

It was reported that in 2016, Jennifer Lawrence donated the sum of $2 million to the hospital to establish The Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.

This year, the 27 years old actress made a visit to Norton Children Hospital on Sunday where she spent quality time with patients, families, as well as staff members.

The hospital posted group photos taken with the actress and signed them with, “Louisville’s own Jennifer Lawrence stopped by Norton Children Hospital today to visit with patients, family and staff. This visit has become a tradition for Lawrence each Christmas.

On the other hand, the actress, who has visited the hospital with her family, said the strength and courage of the sick, their families, and staff of the hospital are all inspiring.


Spreading love this season

Although it’s Christmas, the celebration is never-ending, and it is important to pause and note that in the midst of it all, there are people who require help. There are persons who are not able to experience the joy and cheer of Christmas.
