The reboot of the popular television series Charmed has a new pilot order with a major update to its story line.

'Charmed' Gets A New Pilot Order

The new reboot comes after a previous effort at remarking the series failed. An earlier reboot, set in the 1970s, is said to have flopped even before it reached the pilot stage because the network claimed that it did not come out as they hoped it would.

Feminist Story Line Update

The new version of the series is feminist and set in the present day, but it is still centered on the lives of three sisters who discover that they have witchcraft powers.

This time, however, the sisters live in a university town. Describing the new take on the 90's fan favorite, the network said:

This fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done.

Life After Charmed

Since Charmed ended in 2006, Shannon has tried her hands on reality TV. In 2010, she appeared on "Dancing with the Stars," but was the first to exit the show. She and Holly Marie Combs came together in 2016 for the travel show "Off the Map."

Shannon reportedly had a tensed relationship with Alissa Milano while filming the series and they have kept their distance.

While fans of the show look forward to a reboot of their favorite series, it's great to see that the original Charmed sisters have aged with grace.
