Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Meet A Cute Pony

Date February 14, 2018

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle kicked off their Valentines' Day celebration in the best way possible, and a special pony was a part of it.

A visit to Scotland

The soon-to-be-wed couple visited Edinburgh Castle in Scotland on their first official joint appearance in the country. Before heading into the castle, they took the time to greet some of their fans who braved the biting cold and waited outside to see the royals.

They later witnessed the firing of the famous One O'Clock Gun.

This happens to be the fourth public appearance the couple has made since they announced their engagement in November last year. They had previously visited Nottingham, Brixton, and Cardiff.

Their encounter with a pony

As they arrived at the castle, Prince Harry and Meghan took some time to say hello and pet the mascot of The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

This happens to be a cute Shetland pony named Corporal Cruachan IV.

The pony was quite prepared to greet the royal too, but it seemed he was a little too excited as he attempted to bite Prince Harry's hand.

The prince yelped and immediately pulled back when this happened.

For the visit, Meghan wore a long navy and green plaid coat, while Harry chose a gray coat, which was worn over a navy sweater.

In their itinerary

The couple also visited Social Bite, a cafe that donates its profits to social causes, including homelessness.

The organization reportedly distributes up to 100,000 food and drink items to the homeless every year. They also employ staff who had once experienced homelessness themselves and want to make a difference.

Harry and Meghan are not the first high profile people to visit the establishment. In 2015, actor George Clooney stopped by to enjoy a sandwich.
