Chris Pratt And The Award

The 2017 edition saw Chris Pratt going home with the Choice of Sci-Fi Movie Actor for his role in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2,” and he gave all the glory to God while accepting the award.

Holding his surfboard trophy, the 38-year-old Hollywood star told the audience:

What an honor and privilege to be here, … I would not be here with the ease and grace I have in my heart without my Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Chris Pratt And His Faith

His attribution of the success and fame to God shouldn’t come as a surprise to man because Chris has been quite vocal about his faith in God.

In fact, it is reported that the reason his divorce came as a surprise to many was the fact that they had known him to be open about his love for God and his family.

Earlier this year while receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he said:

I'm a man of faith, and I believe that God works in mysterious ways and gives us signs and gifts in life, and those gifts oftentimes come in the form of people,

How Chris Pratt Came To Christ

In a past issue of Vanity Fair, Chris Pratt was on the cover, discussing about his career and rapid ascension to an A-list actor. He took the moment to describe what he referred to as the moment that changed his life.

He was sitting outside a grocery store where his friend had gone inside to buy him some alcohol. Then came a certain guy named Henry. According to Chris, Henry “recognized something in him that needed to be saved.”

After their brief conversation, Henry took Chris to Church that day. And over the next couple of days, he declared to his friends that he was going to change his life. It’s been over a decade and a half since Henry met Chris, and he has been a Christian ever since.

Men like Chris sure remind us of the importance of sharing our faith with others. You never can tell what God has in store for that person you share with.
