How it began

Well, the soon-to-be-wed couple is finally talking, and we are learning more about their relationship as the day goes by.

Prince Harry and the Suits actress recently sat down for an interview after the official announcement of their engagement. Harry revealed that he and Meghan were actually set up by a mutual friend.

"It was a blind date for sure,” he said.

Meghan said that she did not know much about the royal prior to the blind date. When the mutual friend told her there was someone she should meet, Meghan said her first question was, "well, is he nice?" To her, being with a kind and nice person was very important.

During the date, it soon became obvious that she and Harry had chemistry. He mentioned that he also did not know Meghan Markle before they were set-up. He had never watched Suits, but as soon as he walked in and saw her, he knew she was something special.

And I was beautifully surprised when I walked into that room and saw her and there she was sitting there. I was like, ‘Okay, well I’m going to have to really up my game here.

Harry also said that a few weeks later, he was able to convince the actress to join him in Botswana. It became the perfect opportunity for the both of them to get to know each other without all the distractions.

We camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic.
