1. Peeling garlic

One of the most known tricks with the microwave oven is that it can help you to peel a head of garlic quickly. Are you tired of wasting time on the messy process and especially, the smell that sticks to your fingers for the whole day? Heat a head of garlic for approximately 20 seconds, and you’ll be able to peel it with just a slide of your fingers.

2. Getting more juice from a lemon

If you’ve studied physics at school, then the usage of the microwave for more juice will come as no surprise to you. Heat stimulates molecules of water, resulting in a weaker flesh. Hence, the lemon membranes become easier to burst. Get a bonus of 30% more juice in your glass just by heating it for 15-20 seconds.

3. Sanitize your kitchen sponge

First, make sure your sponge is slightly wet. Heat your sponge for no more than 2 minutes to kill all bacteria. The microwave is also used to sterilize glasses and baby bottles. Simply put water in a glass container and heat it for 1-2 minutes.
