Since being discovered by I & I Agency in her home city of Nebraska, Ashley has lent her curves to numerous brands and fashion campaigns.

In the span of her career, Ashley has appeared on several high-profile magazines, including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, Sports Illustrated and Elle.

Afterward, in 2015, she was chosen to appear in the Swimsuitsforall #CurvesInBikinis campaign. Ashley was the only plus-size model to appear in the campaign.

Advice to girls and women

In an industry dominated by fickle demands and idealized definitions of beauty, models like Ashley sometimes find it hard fitting in. However, this plus-size bombshell has always put up an optimistic face, despite the odds.

Speaking with Bustle, Ashley shared some words of advice for girls and women on maintaining a positive body image, amongst other things.

Ashley says that girls and women do not need to compare themselves to people around them.

In addition, Ashley says she found a way to self-motivation. She would look at herself in the mirror every day and say, “I love you. You are bold, you are brilliant, and you are beautiful.

Furthermore, she also said that if she could talk to her younger self, she would advise her to be comfortable in her skin and take pride in her curves.

That sassy personality is going to get you far in life. Those thick thighs? They are going to make you a lot of money.

How to take the perfect selfie

Ashley also loves to have fun. So she has some awesome tips on how girls and women can take the best selfies.

For starters, it won’t hurt to get some make-up done. It doesn’t have to take hours. Some lip gloss and a clean face can be a charmer.

Secondly, try out low angles. It will get a pretty good amount of jawline showing, but photos still look pretty cute.

Also, think pleasant thoughts. You really don’t have to smile much, but the smile will still sneak out in your features.


Finally, if you still feel like bumping your selfies up a notch, try out as many different angles as you like. Moreso, nothing beats finding what works best for you as long as you are having fun.
