Diane Keaton: Why She Never Got Married, And Her Famous Ex-Lovers
Some people just enjoy their freedom to live independently without having to co-exist with a spouse. The Something's Gotta Give actress has yet to make it official, despite being previously involved with A-List stars like Woody Allen, Warren Beatty, and Al Pacino.
Diane Keaton claimed that her relationships with Hollywood stars failed because she lacked the requisite ‘managerial skills.’ The Annie Hall legend said that things didn’t work out with the likes of Warren Beatty because they had to be bossed around and she was no manager.
She also admitted that she did not have a lot of ‘nurturing skills’ which could have played a part too. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, she revealed she “had a crush” on Al Pacino when they worked together on The Godfather in 1971. Keaton never married despite being chased by a string of leading men including Jack Nicholson and Woody Allen, who was her longest relationship.
In 1996 at the age of 50, Keaton adopted daughter Dexter, now 17, followed by son Duke, 12, in 2001.
