The period after a major break-up is usually a troubling time for most people. For starters, there may be a mild reluctance to disconnect from the other person. It is usually a lot more pronounced when the couple shares very strong memories and, maybe, children.
In other cases, one person may be more than overjoyed, depending on the circumstances. Some people seek the company of family or friends as part of their healing process. On many occasions, however, people find temporary succor in a bounce back.
Again, there is always work to fall back on. Some other people just immerse themselves in work and do not spend a moment more on the issues. The fact remains that many people take some time out when they leave a relationship to adjust to their new state. And celebrities are no exception. They experience much the same things after break-ups.
Whatever road people take, the destination is usually the same. Most people are just looking for a sense of meaning to their lives, and, hopefully, a new direction without the other person. And these celebrities shed some light on life after break-ups.
Angelina Jolie was involved in one of the most talked about relationships in Hollywood for good reason. She and her husband Brad Pitt were the biggest names in Hollywood for several years, and their eclectic family was the talk of the town.
They got together in 2004 and were married in 2014. But their fairytale Hollywood romance was short-lived. By September 20, 2016, word was out that Jolie was filing for divorce. Her reason - she was not particularly comfortable with Brad and his method of parenting.
Moving on, Jolie is powering through like the superstar she is. She primarily has custody of all six children she shares with Brad. She shares her time between her career and taking care of the kids. Some have even begun to pick an interest in the movie business.
There is a rumor that Jolie is on the dating scene again, but she has not given any public statement to that effect.

Nobody except for my parents, the people involved, and whoever they told [know specifics]. Nobody would believe it if I could really say what happened. I went through months and months of torture.
Despite the pain, Gwen moved on quickly. Her new beau Blake Shelton looks every inch the man of her dreams. The couple has been seen spending a lot of time together, and Gwen confesses that he is great with the kids. Her 2017 album You Make It Feel Like Christmas features Shelton on the title track.
After her marriage to Tom Cruise, Holmes seemed to put a hold on her acting career. But all that changed soon after her divorce was announced in June of 2012. She was making headlines like never before.
For starters, she was appointed the first-ever celebrity face of Bobbi Brown cosmetics.
The star continues to make appearances at the famous Met Gala (which Cruise also attends). As for her acting career, Holmes is every bit back on track. From star-studded drama Days and Nights to playing an elementary school teacher in Miss Meadows, Holmes is on a roll.
She split with Chris Pratt in August 2017. The circumstances for the separation were never made public, and the couple seems intent on keeping it that way.

Faris also has an upcoming book of the same name, Unqualified, due in October 2018. As for relationships, Faris has moved on with new boyfriend Michael Barrett. Still, she maintains a cordial relationship with Pratt.
