High School Breaks The Guinness World Record With 44 Sets Of Twins

Date February 12, 2018

As a rule, it’s quite a rare thing to see lots of twins in one place at the same time. We can’t even imagine how many of them live around us. And lots of us couldn’t even guess that all of them together are capable of breaking The World’s Guinness record.

New Trier High School breaks the Guinness record.

And the reason for that is the number of twins in their school.  New Trier High School that is located near Chicago has recently broken the Guinness World Record for the number of twins in one of its classes.

It’s the students of the sophomore class who decided to file all the necessary documents to the authorities of the Guinness World Record. However, they even forgot about it because there wasn’t any reply for about 18 months.

All in all, there are 91 students who were involved in setting the record. The class can boast about 44 sets of twins and even one set of triplets.

What's it like to study among so many twins?

Telling the truth, most of the students even aren’t acquainted with each other. Boy-girl twins say they know only 4-5 sets of twins from the entire school. However, they admit it’s kind of cool to be a part of such a large group.

New Trier has beaten other 'twin schools.'

The previous record for the number of twins in a class was broken by Highcrest Middle School in Wilmette. They had 24 sets of twins at that time.

Pearce High School, for example, has ten sets of twins and one set of triplets in a year.

And another school in Richardson, Texas, USA, is considered to be the largest year group of multiple-birth students in the world.

Of course, it’s not an important achievement but it’s something that makes our lives more interesting and exciting.
