SpaceX launches the world's most powerful rocket

Falcon Heavy – that’s the name of the most powerful rocket it the world. And it’s has been recently launched into the space. It’s been produced by the SpaceX company headed by billionaire Elon Musk, who is also the CEO of Tesla.

The launch of the rocket happened at 3.45 pm ET. Lots of people from all around the world have come to Florida to get a glimpse of the launch that took place at Kennedy Space Center.

Elon Musk commented on the successful launch in this way:

I'm still trying to absorb everything that happened because it's still kind of surreal to me.

He also said:

People from all around the world to see what will either be a great rocket launch or the best fireworks display they've ever seen.

Another great achievement of the very project is that the boosters of the rocket, at least two of them, managed to land back on the Earth. Two of them landed at the landing space at Kennedy Space Center. However, the third one crashed.

The rocket itself has become the first massive one that was successfully launched into the space along with the Elon Musk’s personal red Tesla roadster inside. The reason why he has decided to carry his beloved car into space was very simple. It was meant to be the red car for the red planet or as he commented it:

I love the thought of a car drifting apparently endlessly through space and perhaps being discovered by an alien race millions of years in the future.

In addition to his cherry red car on board of Falcon Heavy, there’s also a plaque with the names of all 6,000 SpaceX employees.

The whole things is a huge step for our society as it makes the idea of outer space traveling one step closer.
