Alexandrea Owens: A Little Girl From Titanic, Who Stole Jack's Heart, Is Now 29 And Has Many Plans

Date December 27, 2017

Remember this little girl who was excited when seeing a huge ship?

She later had fun and danced with Jack Dawson in the movie Titanic. She’s 29 now and has pretty many plans to achieve.

20 years of legend

This year, Titanic celebrated its 20th anniversary. One of the most popular, famous, and profit-making films in history was first shown on December 19th, 1997. No one expected it, but its success turned out to be crazy. The film brought frenzied popularity to the lead actors, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. And although not all critics were delighted with the director's work, the viewers were thrilled.

Reflections on the past and current plans

The curly girl was played by 8-year-old Alexandrea Owens. The adorable little child fell for Jack and was even jealous of Rose, the character of Kate Winslet, but he was so gallant and kind that he reassured his young girlfriend.

You're still my best girl, Cora.

Owens still remembers meeting the Oscar-winning actor during the shooting of their first scene. In it, curly Cora sits next to Jack, while he is drawing. Unfortunately, you cannot see this cute scene in the final version of the movie.

20 years later, Alexandra has recently graduated and completed a degree in writing. She is much into acting, and now, she is planning to write her first novel!

I've been writing sketch comedy that I’ll start producing very soon, and I'm also in the process of writing a novel.

Does she get recognized?

In recent years, only a few people have recognized her. Once Alexandrea went out with her friends, the waitress took her order, but then, she came back and confessed that she had a very strange question for her.

Upon getting to know that Owens indeed was in a movie, she revealed that she was actually going to come up and say the famous line from the film. Sadly, the waitress was too much afraid to make a mistake and look like an idiot, but the actress would like her to say that so much!
