Fertility issues are not as uncommon as one might think. Sometimes the problem is with the man, sometimes with the woman but there are also cases where the problem can’t be identified at all. About 9% of men and about 11% of women of reproductive age in America have faced some fertility problems.
Blocker’s family story
Aaron Blocker, now 26, from Jackson, Mississippi and his beautiful wife always wanted to start a family and become parents. They planned to have biological children first and at some point later to adopt a child in need, too.

But it didn’t go as they planned. In 2016, Aaron and his wife started trying to get pregnant. They thought it will be easy as many of their friends got pregnant with no problems.
However, no matter how much they tried, it didn’t work so the couple went to the infertility specialist. Aaron has an extremely rear genetic disease, which led him to have multiple surgeries and hospitals stays but his wife was always his rock. Now Aaron had to be in her shoes.
Changing roles where she is having to go through this was not easy, as I would much prefer it be me. I would have taken her place if I could.
Arron’s wife started with taking shots and they decided to try intrauterine insemination (IUI) which failed 3 times. The only option that was left for the couple was in vitro fertilization (IVF) - an extremely intense procedure that costs a lot of money. The specialist assured them that they were perfect candidates for it.
This process was hard as a husband, but nothing compared to what my wife had to go through.
Unfortunately, their first transfer failed. And then, the second one failed, too. With a little spark of hope that was left, they tried for the third time.
To their surprise, the couple found out that they were pregnant! Now Aaron’s wife is 13 weeks pregnant with a baby boy and they both are excited to become parents as they always wanted.
