The Duchess has a lot of people to rely on when it comes to raising her children, including her mom Carole, but the most prominent one, the person to whom she trusted her kids, is Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo – the royal nanny. Mario Borrallo is a professional caretaker, no wonder she received a nickname Mary Poppins.

Here is what we know about the royal nanny.

1. She has been working with the royal family since 2014.

The 40-something Spanish-born Borrallo joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's household in March 2014, when Prince George was eight months old.

2. She’s a graduate of a prestigious university.

Maria graduated from Norland College, a 125-year-old institution located in Bath that is known for training caretakers for the UK's most notable families. Besides traditional child-rearing skills, students learn how to cook, sew, and self-defense techniques. They also received first-aid training.

3. Borrallo is teaching the royal kids Spanish.

Princess Charlotte and Prince George are reported to already know the basics of Spanish language.

4. Maria looks like a real-life Mary Poppins.

During the christening of Princess Charlotte, Borrallo appeared in an outfit which made her look like she arrived straight from the theatre's production of Mary Poppins.

That might be the reason why she got her nickname but looking at her smiling face when she is playing with royal kids, we can suggest that there’s more in her from the most famous nanny in the world than just her outfit.
