The 35-year-old is currently living in London with her husband, an American-British financier Christopher O'Neill, and their two children, Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas, but she wishes to return to Sweden to give birth.

Princess Madeleine and Mr. Christopher O'Neill have decided that their third child will be born in Sweden. The Princess will arrive in Sweden in mid-February and the birth is expected to take place in March 2018.

Madeleine made an announcement that she is pregnant for the third time last August on Facebook. She wrote:

Chris and I are thrilled to announce that I am expecting. We look forward to four becoming five!

The couple’s daughter Princess Leonore was born in New York, in 2014, and her little brother Prince Nicolas was born in 2015, in Sweden. Madeleine and her family are not registered residents in Sweden, so they would have to pay all hospital bills with their personal funds.

Princess Madeleine is the youngest of Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia's three children. She is fourth in line to the throne. In her early 20s, she gained a fame of the party girl and received a lot of attention thanks to her fashionable clothes. Madeleine has been often criticized by Swedes for her fancy lifestyle. She moved to New York after breaking the engagement with Swedish attorney Jonas Bergstrom, who, according to social media, had been unfaithful to her.

Since then, the Princess has kept her profile very low, she started to work for the non-profit World Childhood Foundation in New York. It is there where she met her future husband O'Neill through mutual friends. In October 2012, they announced their engagement.

Even though Princess Madeleine’s family resides in the UK, she wants her children to feel "at home" in Sweden. The press officer said:

The Princess feels that her children should have a strong connection with Sweden. She wants them to feel at home here just as she does.

Chris O'Neill has talked about his two adorable royal children, calling his two-year-old daughter Princess Leonore “a determined little girl” and her brother Prince Nicolas “a soft little guy.
