People always wondered what is her secret and how Betty manages to stay so positive over the years. As she recently confessed in an interview with Parade, the secret is pretty simple:

Enjoy life. Accentuate the positive, not the negative.

White admits that she always tries “to see the funny side and the upside, not the downside,” and gets “bored with people who complain about this or that.”

As for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Betty White has a rather unusual recipe: the actress credits hot dogs, french fries, and vodka for her longevity and great health.

And while many dietitians and nutritionists may disagree with her, some experts admit she may be right, after all.

According to Dr. Aaron Carroll, the mastermind behind The Bad Food Bible, the recent studies did not find a noteworthy difference between people who did and did not consume red meat and processed food.

If researchers can’t find a difference in tens of thousands of people over eight years, it may be time to admit that even if there is a relationship between processed or red meat consumption and cancer, it must be pretty small.

And as for her drinking vodka, it is only a nightly ritual she maintains over the years. In an interview with Bon Appetit, White admitted she is not that much of a drinker.

One cocktail before dinner is fine. If I'm out with friends, I'll probably have a second. But I don't really like to feel it.

And moderate drinking is believed to be rather beneficial to health, even though most studies call red wine as the best drink for decreasing certain health risks, including the risk of heart attack and type 2 diabetes development, says Daily Mail.

Looking at this magnificent woman, we can say that, at least for her, this unusual philosophy works perfectly. And what do you think about Betty's longevity recipe? Share your thoughts with us in a comment below.
