What A President Eats: Donald Trump's Eating Habits

Date January 22, 2018

While it might seem a bit odd, the public has always had an interest in what presidents eat. Thanks to Corey Lewandowski and David N. Bossie and their upcoming book, Let Trump Be Trump, we get to find out the eating habits of the 45th US President.

The President has a sweet tooth

While working as Trump's former campaign manager and former deputy campaign manager, the authors of the book have also had the job of providing Trump with his favorite meals. The President's love towards well-done steaks is well known, but the authors emphasized his less known eating habits.

Apparently, Donald Trump has a soft spot for junk food and similar calory-filled meals.

On Trump Force One, there were four major food groups: McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza and Diet Coke. - From the book "Let Trump Be Trump"

We can't say we blame him because we all have our food guilty pleasures. However, there is a different reason behind Trump's eating habits besides the taste. In an interview with New York Times magazine, Donald Trump confessed:

I’m a very clean person. I like cleanliness, and I think you’re better off going there than maybe someplace that you have no idea where the food’s coming from. It’s a certain standard. I think the food’s good.

Furthermore, the current President of the United States is also a fan of snacks and sweets. Air Force One simply has to be stocked with sealed packages of potato chips and Oreo cookies. This is also very understandable. Who doesn't love Oreos?

The President's eating habits are certainly not healthy, but they are very delicious. Also, it is so nice to see that a man with his power eats the same food as we all do. Bon Appétit, Mr. President!
