Michael Phelps Talks About Health Habits That Make Him Such A Successful Father And Husband

To keep the body in good health is a duty we owe each other; it helps us keep our mind strong and clear. And once we have got a clear and calm mind, it brings inner peace and strength. This is something Michael Phelps understands all too well.

Who is Michael Phelps?

Michael Phelps is a retired American swimmer. At 32, he is the most decorated Olympian of all time, winning a total of 28 medals before retirement. Michael, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall, has an amazing body structure that is naturally predisposed to racing through the water.

Even at that, Michael knows the importance of eating healthy and staying fit. That is why he has a daily health routine that not only keeps him fit and in shape but also makes him a better father to his son, Boomer, and husband to wife, Nicole.

Michael’s health habits

There is nothing more important than staying healthy and to do that, you’ve got to inculcate in your daily routines some healthy habits. For Michael Phelps, there is nothing healthier than sleeping, exercising, and eating right.

According to him, those are the key factors that enable him to be such a better father, husband, a better son, as well as a hard worker. To stay fit at all times, Michael ensures he is not sleep deprived; he eats the right meals like veggies and chickens instead of cheeseburgers.

And when it comes to exercising, if he’s not out swimming, he’s out biking or on the golf course, or doing some other forms of exercise. All these, he says, has made him a better father and husband.

Michael, who is a father to 18-months-old son Boomer, is expecting another child with wife Nicole. Being a father, he said, has taught him a lot about patience. With Boomer still learning how to communicate, Michael has learned to be very patient and try to figure out what Boomer needs at every point in time.

And whenever he feels grumpy around the house or just too tired, his wife recommends he goes swimming which usually helps him to think through everything on his mind as well as flush out all the negativity boiling inside him.

Michael, who recently entered into a four years brand partnership with mattress brand Leesa, says people don’t pay enough attention to how important sleep is. To be as healthy as Michael, you’ve got to have enough sleep, eat the right meals, not junk, and add a little exercise every now and then.
