Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Except you Harvey, and all your wicked conspirators - I’m glad it’s going slowly - you don’t deserve a bullet) -stay tuned Uma Thurman
Uma Thurman was sexually assaulted by Weinstein
A popular film producer, Harvey Weinstein, has been accused of sexual harassment and rape by multiple women. When numerous cases with Weinstein were revealed last year, Uma Thurman announced she would tell about her experience when she would be ready. Finally, the time has come.
The actress told The New York Times magazine all the details of how she was attacked by Weinstein and commented on her relationship with co-star Quentin Tarantino.
Thurman said she knew Harvey very well before he attacked her. They worked together on Pulp Fiction. The actress added Harvey used to spend hours talking to her about material and complimenting her mind and beauty.
Thurman described in details what happened between her and Weinstein in Savoy hotel in London.
He pushed me down. He tried to shove himself on me. He tried to expose himself. He did all kinds of unpleasant things.
Uma added that shortly after the incident, she went back to his hotel again bringing a friend with her. The actress recalls telling the producer:
If you do what you did to me to other people, you will lose your career, your reputation, and your family, I promise you.
Uma accused Tarantino of not doing enough to protect her
Thurman has also a story to tell about her relationships with Quentin Tarantino. The star accuses Tarantino of being “connected” to Weinstein’s predatory behavior.
Uma said Quentin was not doing enough to protect her from an accident during the making of Kill Bill, when he forced her to drive a car on a twisty road for a scene in the movie.
Thurman’s husband, Ethan Hawke, told The Times:
I approached Quentin in very serious terms and told him that he had let Uma down as a director and as a friend.
What did Weinstein say on the matter?
In response to Thurman’s accusations of sexual harassment, Weinstein’s spokesman announced:
Mr. Weinstein acknowledges making a pass at Ms. Thurman in England after misreading her signals in Paris. He immediately apologized.
He added that Weinstein denies any threat to Thurman’s career and said the producer thought she was a great actress with whom he had “a fun working relationship.”
