In response to a little boy at the Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C who had asked Melania Trump where she would love to spend her holidays, this was the answer she gave:

I would spend my holidays on a deserted island, a tropical island, with my family.

Let’s face it. Being in the public glare is hard, but being the FLOTUS is even harder. Little wonder, the First Lady craved an exclusive getaway with her family during the holidays. We can sympathize with that.

Now, let’s take a plunge into the world of our favorite celebs who own private paradises where they hide away from the rest of the world.

Celebrities who have private islands

Without being officially crowned as “Royal Monarchs”, some people are actually living out the title in real life. Or how do you explain the fact that some individuals are buying up whole islands to themselves in some of the world’s most exotic locations?

Yep, call them “Kings and Queens”, and you won’t be wrong.
