Ivanka Trump Changed Her Twitter Bio To Become Less Feminist, And The Internet Is Not Happy About It

Date January 29, 2018

Ivanka Trumps is not only Donald Trump’s personal adviser but also the executive vice president of The Trump Organization, mother of three, loving daughter, and successful businessperson, just like her famous dad.

Who was she before gaining public attention?

Surprisingly, she started her career not as a political appointee but as a fashion model. Back in the 90s, the president’s daughter stormed the catwalks, appeared on covers of various magazines, and modeled for various luxury brands, including Vivienne Westwood and Tommy Hilfiger. Now, the 36-year-old also manages an accessory and clothing brand.

Yes, Ivanka wears many hats, but there’s one thing people believe she is not – an advocate for women empowerment. And here are reasons for such claims.

Changing her bio

Earlier this year, Trump changed her Twitter bio, which attracted the attention of other celebrities and common people. While huge crowds of females were taking part in the women’s march, someone spotted that Ivanka deleted a line about being an “advocate for the education and empowerment of women and girls” from her profile. Since then, the president’s daughter has been severely criticized.

Now she has a less female-oriented bio that reflects her position at the White House and in the family.

Wife, mother, sister, daughter. Advisor to POTUS on job creation + economic empowerment, workforce development & entrepreneurship.

People’s reactions

Although it’s unclear what prompted the change, many believe that she was not a great feminist savior even when she said so. MSNBC and Vogue were quick to point out the change, causing the uproar all over the country.

Upon getting to know the news, people rushed to Twitter to share the thoughts, and most of their comments are negative. Many said this change finally reflects Ivanka’s real position, especially given the allegations against her dad.

But since politics constantly change their mind, she might reconsider her attitude to issues that disproportionately affect women.
