It has been a while since any royal wedding caused a stir in Britain. Now, the wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is all the rave and is set to overshadow that of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

From their incredible budget rumored to be $45 million to Meghan’s wedding dress expected to cost well over $400,000, there is enough to talk about.

However, the couple is sharing only so many details about their happy day. Immediately, they continue to make public appearances, leading up to May 19.

Meghan is giving up a lot to become a royal

Joining the British royal family does come with a lot of perks. A title is just scratching the surface. But it is not always as fun and glamorous as the tabloids suggest, especially not for Meghan. In her case, becoming a royal is a lot of hard work and sacrifice.

For starters, she literally has to go through fashion school. The Queen and the royal family have pretty particular rules about dressing that are way off what Meghan, who is American, is used to.

As far as sacrifices go, the biggest Meghan has to make is her career. Up until her engagement, she starred as Rachel Zane in Suits. Her character was one of the most recognizable in the series. As it stands, Suits might well be her swan song.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl also believes that Meghan may have to shut down her blog, The Tig. For the most part, it is because the royal family may be uncomfortable with her sharing personal details about her life through unofficial channels.

Like other royals, her movement will also be restricted. Princess Diana was known to sneak out of Kensington Palace on occasion for some private time. And another royal source claims Meghan is starting to take after Diana.

Who got invited?

Invitations to the royal wedding were sent out late March. An official announcement was made on the official Twitter handle of Kensington Palace.

As always, the guest list was not revealed, but there are speculations about who may have been invited.

It turns out some married gusts will be attending without their spouses since invitations were limited. It may seem odd, but this is not the first time a royal has done it.
