Diego Pereya, from Freyre, in Argentina, recently claimed that he found a dead mouse in his bottle of Coca-Cola. According to Pereya, he noticed something odd inside the bottle just before he opened it.

He then filmed himself opening the presumably sealed bottle and emptying its contents into a yellow bucket.

As the soda continued to pour out, the dead corpse of a rodent was revealed. There were hairs stuck to the inside of the bottle, and Pereya pointed out that they were from the dead mouse.

By the end of the video, the Argentinian issued a stern warning:

There is the mouse, people. Stop drinking Coca-Cola.

Nobody believes him

This is not the first time that someone has shared a video showing a disgusting find inside a Coke bottle. But Pereya’s video is still getting lots of attention. Over 20,000 people have seen the video, and it has been shared more than 1,000 times.

However, not too many people believe the video is real. It still is possible that Pereya rigged the soda bottle with the rat and resealed it. Pranksters are known to come up with outrageous antics to get some attention.

Coca-Cola takes these claims seriously

In May 2017, a South Dakota man also claimed he found a mouse in his Coke. This time, it was a can, not a bottle. He even filed a suit against the soda company, claiming that he fell ill after drinking the Coke and had to miss hours of work.

However, Coca-Cola claimed that it was unlikely the mouse ended up in and during the bottling process. According to lawyers, the rodent would have to be in late stages of decomposition. But it wasn’t.

There still isn’t a lot of detail about the time of bottling for Pereya’s Coke. Coca-Cola is also yet to address the issue, but they are expected to weigh in on the matter soon enough.
