Such big names as Jennifer Aniston, P. Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, and many more use their status to urge more people to make donations. On their part, they do the same and send funds to victims.

Very recently, it was revealed that Aniston made a donation of $1 million to help the affected people. People.com reported that she donated $500,000 to the American Red Cross and the second half went to the Ricky Martin Foundation. Martin set up the foundation to help those struggling after Hurricane Maria in his native home, Puerto Rico.

The singer confirmed Aniston's donation via a Twitter post.

Two days ago, P. Diddy expressed his sadness about the fact that people in Puerto Rico are still finding it difficult to get basic necessities, such as food and water.

In a video, which he posted on his Instagram page, the 47-year-old rapper announced that he would be making a donation of $100,000 to relief efforts. He said in the video:

I saw the news not reporting about our brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico. We can’t wait for the government to come help us. If we have the power to give some help, we need to try to do what we can in all tragic situations for other people that need it.

Jennifer Lopez and her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, came together to create a new initiative named Somos Una Voz (We Are One Voice), which is aimed at raising funds for Puerto Ricans via social media. Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Vin Diesel, and a number of other celebs have made donations to the foundation.

Enrique Iglesias came up with a pretty cool idea to urge his fans to help out. After appealing to them to give at least $10 to the cause, he announced that two lucky fans who donated would win VIP tickets to his concert. They will also get backstage passes and stay at a four-star hotel for free.

Steven Colbert and Nick Kroll decided to put smiles on the faces of thousands of people and made own donations. They announced that for any celebrity that posted an awkward teenage picture of themselves, the show hosts would donate to relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

These famous men and women are inspiring others to give all they can to help those affected by the hurricane get back on their feet. We applaud both their financial efforts and dedication.
