Since pictures of her on the red carpet surfaced, a lot of social media trolls have had nothing but negative words for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.

Evidently, her face was not as smooth and devoid of blemishes as they expected, and people were quick to lash out with mean and hurtful words.

Jenner did not let this bring her down. In a reaction tweet to a user who said, "Ok but @KendallJenner showing up and strutting her acne while looking like a gorgeous star is what every girl needs to understand,"  she said that no one should let such issues stop them from doing what they want.

Jenner has not been secretive about her battle with acne, which has been going on for years. In 2015, she revealed on her website that sometimes, it got so bad that she would have low self-esteem.

I wouldn’t even look at people when I talked to them. I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face.

So, we imagine that having it become a trending social media topic at one of the biggest movie events in the world would not have been the best feeling. But she needn't worry too much about fighting all the haters. Her fans gallantly rose to her defense against the mean internet trolls.

3 other women that caused a stir

Of course, at an event as big as the Golden Globes, there's no way people would be talking about just one celebrity.

At the award ceremony, both men and women wore black to show their support for the Time's Up movement against the incidents of sexual assault and harassment that are going on in Hollywood.

However, three major celebrities chose not to wear black, and they also became a topic of conversation.

Meher Tatner, Barbara Meier, and Blanca Blanco did not follow the dress code.
