It has long been suggested that George Clooney trumps just about every other celebrity (or person for that matter) in the looks department. Now scientists have proven that Clooney is the most attractive man in the world.

Using The Golden Ratio, human features can be judged on a scale to determine how balanced and thus attractive they are.

56-year-old Clooney’s face is about 92% accurate according to The Golden Ratio. Dr. De Silva, who runs the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic And Plastic Surgery in London, explains:

He has beautiful facial symmetry and gets closer than any other man to having what the Greeks considered the perfect face.

So next time you see Clooney on your television screen and wonder if perchance he will share the location of the fountain of youth, stop. There is no secret fountain. Science has provided the answer you are looking for: It’s The Golden Ratio.

Growing up with "Bell’s palsy".

Clooney may be pretty now but he had his fair share of trouble growing up. And his had to do with his face. The TV star suffered from "Bell’s palsy", a condition that causes inflammation of nerves in the face. This caused swelling of facial muscles.

Speaking with Daily Mirror in 2003, Clooney talked about his experience living with the condition as a kid.

That was the worst time of my life. You know how cruel kids can be. I was mocked and taunted, but the experience made me stronger.

"Bell’s palsy" is not a particularly common medical condition as only about 40,000 in the US suffer from it every year.

It rarely occurs in children under 15 and is more noticeable in people over 60.

Clooney may have been one of the unlucky few but he turned out pretty dashing after all.

He’s not the only celebrity who had it.

It may come as a shocker that Clooney is not the only celebrity to have suffered "Bell’s palsy". Pierce Brosnan is one of the more popular celebrities on the list.

Composer, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, former NFL star Tony Gonzalez, rocker Rick Savage, comedian Roseanne Barr, and action man Sylvester Stallone have also been through the ordeal.
