Living Like The Beckhams In A $60 Million Mansion

Date April 2, 2018

Being a celebrity while raising children can be a daunting affair, especially when the children are still in their teens or younger. In many ways, it can be like working two full-time jobs. But retired football player David Beckham and his wife, business mogul Victoria, do it without breaking a sweat. Or so it seems.

The couple has been married since 1997 and now have four children, Brooklyn, Romeo James, Cruz, and Harper Seven.

David and Victoria encourage their children to pursue their passions. So, none of the children is under any pressure to follow in their parent’s footsteps. Proud dad David also gets to spend a lot of time with them. Now, he is retired, and the family is moved to London.

The Beckhams also get to attend events together and have fun. Over the years, it has proven to be a sure way of keeping their love strong.

Inside the Beckhams' mansion

With a family of six, the Beckhams did not spare their pennies, as they purchased a mansion worth $60 million in West London. Members of the family share pictures of themselves on a regular basis from there.

The massive fridge with wooden panels is a perfect place to store food and keep drinks cold, even when Cruz suggests it is a bit wonky.

There are several areas in the massive house where the family can relax and have fun. Romeo and his dad chose this cozy corner with dark chairs. The rustic side stool and ornate flowers provide ambiance for this photo.

When it is time to eat, the family turns to a banquet style dining table with a padded bench. But it’s not always food that gets them there. It is useful for naps. Little Harper could not hold out till she got to her bed, so she made herself comfortable.

This hallway with marble floors and a grand staircase adds depth to the space. A yard is also visible through the glass door at the rear. Perfect spot for a photo shoot with Victoria.

Out in the yard is a family size swimming pool. On sunny days, the Beckhams like to take dips and pop bottles of champagne. For the boys though, it’s always apple juice. They also have an indoor pool on the property.

The Beckhams bought the house in 2013, but since then, they have made many renovations and improvements. Now, the house has six bedrooms, a gym, wine cellar, and a powder room.

Comfortable houses make happy families

According to Susan Clayton, an environmental psychologist at the College of Wooster, people often see their houses as an extension of themselves.

As such, how a house is decorated or the general state of it can give accurate pointers to the kind of person who lives in it. It can also show if a person is happy or not. And as many people spend most of their time these days in one particular place when they are not working, it may be even easier to tell.

What do you think the Beckhams' mansion says about them?
