Beth Chapman's Double Bounce Back: She Got Cancer-Free And Lost 50 Lbs
Dog and Beth Chapman first came to everyone's attention with the hit A&E show Dog the Bounty Hunter. Since then, they have endeared themselves to the hearts of their fans who remained with them even after the show was taken off the air.
Good news for the Chapmans'
In 2017, after a cancer diagnosis in August, Beth was given a clean bill of health by her doctors. The 50-year-old TV personality had undergone a 13-hour cancer removal surgery to get rid of the tumor in her throat.
They shared the news with fans in a 2-hour special Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives on A&E.
Dog, real name Duane Chapman, told Fox News that faith was a big part of what got them through Beth's cancer episode:
I thank God that we had at least that much faith to get her through that, he said.
Beth did not just become cancer free, she lost 50-lbs. The former Playboy model was determined to get healthy, so she swapped watching TV for sport related activities and spent 4 hours everyday on mild exercise routines.
Opting for a new diet played a big role in helping her lose the weight. She did the usual veggies and fruit based diet, and drank lots of water. Cereals also helped.
There are unconfirmed rumours that she got some help from plastic surgeons to get her stomach slimmer. Beth has not addressed them, but she did say her husband's encouragement and support helped her shed the calories faster.
