Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are Expected To Announce Their Engagement “Imminently”

It looks like London can start making preparations for a royal-class celebration. It is said that Prince Harry is just about to propose to his girlfriend Meghan Markle (if only he didn't do it already). And with the recent news about the Suits star moving to London for good, the bookmakers have already suspended all bets on the next royal wedding.

Prince Henry of Wales met his sweetheart in 2016. The couple started dating right away, although they kept their relationships secret for a while. Some people even say that Harry knew Meghan was the ideal woman for him even before he met her in person.

In the first months of their official relationships, Harry became very protective not only of his beloved woman but of her family as well. In the autumn of 2016, the Kensington Palace even published a statement in which they asked the media to respect Meghan and her family's right to have a private life.

In 2017, the actress and her royal boyfriend made their public debut as a couple at the Invictus Games – a one-of-a-kind sports competition launched by Prince Harry. And a few weeks later, Meghan was reportedly having an audience with the Queen herself.

Following the traditions

Even though their relationships were developing rather quickly, if they are to be married, Meghan will have to get used to the royal way of settling things down, just like Kate Middleton did before her.

By the time Prince William proposed to the future Duchess of Cambridge, the two of them were in relationships for about eight years. And none of the lovebirds said anything about the engagement until the Kensington Palace made an official announcement.

Furthermore, even though Prince William confessed that proposed Kate in October, his fiancee did not wear her engagement ring in public until the Palace made a statement a month later.

The 36-year-old actress and her royal boyfriend will most likely follow the same path. Although, since Prince Harry's chances to become the King are low, both engagement announcement and wedding will be most likely more private than back in 2011 with William and Kate.

Now, we have to wait for either Kensington or Clarence Palace to break the news. And it looks like it won't take them too long to make the long-awaited announcement.

Hello Magazine reports that a spokesperson for William Hill released a statement, saying:

We believe the happy couple are already engaged and possible have been for some time.

Some brokers even predict that the Palace will make the news official "imminently," supposedly right before Christmas. So, all we have to do is wait and see if these rumors were true.
