The Obamas' portraits
On February 12, the National Portrait Gallery unveiled the portraits of the former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle. Kehinde Wiley was the painter who got to create the former POTUS, while Amy Sherald, another talented artist, did that of Michelle Obama.
The 44th President of the United States joined many others before him whose images have been displayed at the Smithsonian gallery.
Ellen DeGeneres' recreation
The talk show host recently had her followers in stitches when she shared an Instagram post that featured her in the arms of Barack Obama.
On Monday, Ellen reposted the video of the actual unveiling moment. However, instead of an image of Barack Obama sitting gallantly and surrounded by green foliage, Ellen managed to digitally insert herself into the photo.
Fans appreciated the comedian's sense of humor, and they praised her unique way of congratulating the Obamas.
Lol, you are so funny Ellen???? I am sure 44 is cracking up!

Obama himself said the picture was "pretty sharp," while Michelle saw its possibility for inspiring young girls, especially girls of color.
I’m also thinking about all of the young people, particularly girls and girls of color, who in years ahead will come to this place, and they will look up, and they will see an image of someone who looks like them hanging on the wall.
We have to agree with these commenters. These are two of the best paintings we have seen of the former US president and First Lady. The painters did a fantastic job, and they deserve to be applauded.
