Date January 4, 2018

When prominent people come together to solve something, then it must be an all-important problem. It is a common fact that women in the world today face a lot of harassment and violence from men.

This is not only restricted to the home front or some neighborhoods but is also prevalent in the work environment.

Jennifer Lopez

The popular singer Jennifer Lopez took to her Instagram page to express her thoughts on this matter:

Everyone’s resolution for the year: No more accepting sexual harassment and inequality at work as normal. It’s not normal.

Sexual harassment should not be accepted. People are being called upon to stand up for what is right. Jennifer Lopez wants a world where women can be allowed to live freely and soar to any height they may wish, without any harassment whatsoever.

Emma Watson

The British actress, model, and activist also expressed her concern about female harassment. On her Instagram profile, she wrote:

The clock’s been ticking on the abuse of power. I stand in solidarity with women across every industry to say #TIMESUP on abuse, harassment, and assault.

This shows that the issue is prevalent all over the world. These stars can leverage their influence to move a large number of people to act appropriately towards women.

Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon, a popular American comedian, also lent his voice to the movement. At least for once, this comedian has something very serious to talk about. And he should also be taken seriously now. He wrote:

Support women, support fairness, support respect, support safety, support what is right.

Katie Holmes, Salma Hayek, Justin Timberlake, and others were not silent as well.
