John Cusack, a popular actor who started his career in the film industry when he was eight, has proved his talent and skills in different areas. He is a successful producer, a screenwriter, and even a former HuffPost blogger. Today, we want to have a look at the personal and professional life of John Cusack.
Childhood and early life
John was born in the Irish-American family; his father was an actor too. John has four siblings. During his study at high school, the boy played at local performances. After graduation, John entered New York University, but after several months, he quitted his study there.
Instead of study, Cusack decided to earn his living as a commercial voiceover actor. Once, John said he always dreamed to become a successful actor just like his father was. In 1983, he made his debut appearance as an actor in the movie “Class.”
Career and major achievements
After his successful play in “Class,” Cusack played small roles in “Grandview U.S.A.” and “Sixteen Candles.” His first big role as a leading actor was in “The Sure Thing.” The film received a lot of positive reviews from critics and movie fans.
Cusack’s role in the drama “Say Anything” in 1989 has proved his status of a talented actor in two genres: comedy and drama. The movie was proclaimed as one of the greatest modern romances and one of the best films of the year. His impressive performance in “Being John Malkovich” (1999) won him a Best Actor nomination at Independent Spirit Awards.
Cusack managed to achieve success not just in acting, but in writing as well. From 2005 to 2009, he wrote blogs for the popular edition The Huffington Post. In his blog, Cusack shared his fair opinion on important political and social events, like the war in Iraq, the Bush administration, educational reforms, etc. He interviewed many famous people, like Naomi Klein or a psychiatrist Phil Stutz.
John Cusack is not fond of speaking about his personal life. The actor is not married. Looking at this charming fellow, it’s hard to imagine he never had serious relationships. Cusack dated Janice Dickinson, Alison Eastwood, and Jennifer Love Hewitt. These women differ in personality and appearance, and it’s hard to say for sure about the actor’s preference considering women. Once, he said:
A lot of women who meet me aren’t meeting me. They’re meeting their ambition, or they’re meeting their relationship to a celebrity.
John Cusack dated an actress Jodie Lyn O’Keefe for quite a long time, but the couple also broke up. John is definitely a handsome and attractive man, and it’s hard to resist falling in love with him. The actor prefers to keep his personal life in secret, but we hope he will find his ‘the only one’ lady and be happy in his relationships.
