What Clint Eastwood Used To Think About Trump: "I Can Understand Where He's Coming From"

Date April 10, 2018

In 2016, 87-year-old American actor Clint Eastwood expressed his opinion on Trump’s policy and commented on some of his actions. There was no hatred in his words – the everlasting westerns hero critically reviewed the future president’s behavior.

Reason for being exquisite

Donald Trump is a unique person for numerous reasons. However, what he is most peculiar of is that the hype around him is unstoppable. Some people worship Trump, calling him the most influential president, while others simply don’t understand some of his actions.

People can’t stop talking about the 45th US President and what makes Donald unique: The amount of attention he draws is incredible.

For Trump

Even though the number of advocates that Trump has recently lost is huge, there are still people who don’t loathe him for his policy.

In 2016, Clint Eastwood was the one to perceive the president not as a blighter of the country but as a person whose actions should be reviewed from the critical perspective:

I haven't endorsed anybody. I haven't talked to Trump. I haven't talked to anybody. You know, he's a racist now because he's talked about this judge. He's said a lot of dumb things. So have all of [journalists] them. Both sides. But everybody — the press and everybody's going, "Oh, well, that's racist," and they're making a big hoodoo out of it. People should just get over it.

Clint has always been expressing his point of view roughly and directly. Even though he had nothing bad to say about Trump, he still mentioned there could have been better decisions to make:

What Trump is onto is he's just saying what's on his mind. And sometimes, it's not so good. And sometimes, it's … I mean, I can understand where he's coming from, but I don't always agree with it.

If he received a choice between Clinton and Trump, he would go for Donald, even though it would be a tough decision. Eastwood wasn’t an advocate of Obama’s policy, and as Hillary wanted to continue Barack’s way of ruling, Clint didn’t actually like that.

Against Trump

Unlike Eastwood, some people like Richard Gere are completely against Trump’s policy. The 68-year-old actor is sure that the president will receive no chances on the next election as some of Donald’s actions Gere perceives as unexplainable and simply odd.

Even though the views are completely different, Trump still deserves much recognition. He is the 45th American President, and he worked hard to achieve what he has now.
