The 63-year-old country icon said:

Getting back on stage with her is going to be a blast because she sings her butt off and she’s cute as a button. When she opens her mouth to sing, it’s just like, ‘What is she gonna do next?’ She’s got this range, and I’m in awe every time she sings.

The mother- and daughter-in-law duo hit the stage at the Academy of Country Music Awards for an epic, emotional duet.

As part of the ACM Awards' 25th-anniversary flashback series to the 1993 ceremony, McEntire and Clarkson performed the country icon's '90s hit "Does He Love You."

McEntire, who hosted Sunday's ceremony, originally recorded the duet with fellow country artist Linda Davis.
