However, a recent unauthorized biography based on multiple interviews - no less than 120 people - offered a rare glimpse into the quirks of Prince Charles.
The book, written by one Tom Bower, is expectedly titled "Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles."
It claims that Charles is quite self-involved when it comes to his appearance. He changes his clothes up to 5 times daily if need be!
The future King of Britain is also reportedly quite out of touch with things (cling film inclusive) and functions largely with the help of royal staff.

His lawyers have since distanced their client from the book and its author. But one thing the book probably gets right is Charles' love for clothes.
The Prince of Wales says he is delighted there is a "growing awareness of the urgent need to get away from ‘throwaway society’," when it comes to fashion sustainability, in an interview with the Australian Financial Review. HRH said: “I have always believed in trying to keep as many of my clothes and shoes going for as long as possible (some go back to 1971 and one jacket to 1969!) – through patches and repairs – and in this way I tend to be in fashion once every 25 years...” The Prince of Wales established the @campaignforwool in 2010 which has encouraged the fashion industry to make greater use of the natural fibre.
