Olivia's legacy

She made success in her career with the movie “Gone With The Wild” back in 1939. Ever since she has appeared in more than 40 feature films. Olivia de Havilland won an Academy Award two times and was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2017.

Olivia de Havilland had a sister, Joan Fontaine, who passed away in 2013. Joan was also an actress, mostly known for her collaborations with Alfred Hitchcock. They are the only siblings who both won an Academy Award. However, their rivalry that lasted more than three decades didn’t give them a chance to be sisters to each other.

The retirement

Olivia officially said goodbye to her actress career with her last movie “The Woman He Loved” (1988). It’s been already 30 years since we haven’t seen her on the big screen. However, Olivia is still full of energy and absolutely loves her life.

No one could ever say that she is 101 years old! She is absolutely stunning!

Unfortunately, she doesn’t share her secret of youth with us, as the actress usually rests at her estate and doesn’t want to give any interviews.

We wish Olivia de Havilland strong health and more moments in her life she would enjoy! Her work will not be gone with the wind.
