Farrah Fawcett's Babysitter Spills Details About Actress' Rocky Life With Ryan O'Neil
Back in the day, Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal were Hollywood's 'it' couple. Their relationship was full of highs and lows, but they stayed together until Farrah's untimely death in 2009.
Ryan and Farrah were first married from 1989 to 1997, when golden-haired actress found out about O'Neil's affair. They got together again in 2001. The couple had a son Redmond James.
The public had been always aware that their relationship was somewhat rocky. However, new details have transpired, offering a bit more insight into Ryan and Farrah's personal life.
From the nanny's point of view
Recently, a celebrity nanny Janette Moor gave an interview on her babysitting experience for some of Hollywood's biggest stars. One of those families were Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neil.
The couple hired Janette in 1988 to look after their son Raymond, who was around 4 at the time. The nanny recalls that Farrah was very pleasant to deal with, unlike O'Neil.
She was lovely. She was always lovely. He was certainly not easy to live with.
Moor had witnessed many fights, and she pointed out that Fawcett had a hard time dealing with her future husband.
You could hear her shouting at the other end of the house.
Despite being paid for looking after the couple's son, Janette remembers Ryan to be the one who was a handful. “They had separate bedrooms, and he would be smoking his weed in his room. He was a very moody person," Moor recalled.
As for their son Raymond, Janette said he was acting fine with her but had problems in the kindergarten. Once, the boy's teacher told the nanny he was using foul language, for which Farrah made him wash his mouth with soap.
As we now know, Raymond grew up to become a problematic adult. He had been arrested for the possession of drugs and driving under the influence in 2009. Looks like his father's example rubbed off on him.
Janette Moor was a nanny for the Fawcett-O'Neil family from 1988 to 1989. Overall, she appreciated that they were giving her enough freedom with Raymond, and she'd gotten used to ignoring Ryan, whenever he would start to annoy her.
Farrah's battle with cancer
Hollywood's favorite Charlie's Angels actress passed away in 2009, after struggling with anal cancer for several years. Despite problems in her relationship with O'Neil in the early years, Ryan stood by her till the end of Fawcett's journey.
Fawcett produced a documentary about her experience with anal cancer titled Farrah's Story. It's an educational cautionary tale, which can help save a life some day.
