Queen Elizabeth II Has 4 Children, But Not All Of Them Are As Popular As Prince Charles

The lives of royals are always under the spotlight. Queen Elizabeth II has been ruling for 52 years. Her grandchildren have been the stars of the web recently. However, not many people know the rest of the family.

In 1947, the queen-to-be married Prince Phillip of Greece and Denmark. Young Elizabeth claimed that she fell in love with Phillip when she was 13 years old. Their marriage is still strong and happy.

The royal couple had four children - three boys and a girl.

Their first child was born in 1948. Today, we know him as Prince Charles of Wales. The prince often appears at social gatherings and is fairly known worldwide.

Charles is the next in line to the throne and, until then, remains a prince, despite his respectable age.

However, other three offsprings of the queen rarely become the center of media attention, and most people worldwide don't know anything about them.

Their second child is Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise, born in 1950.

She is the only daughter of the royal couple. Today, the woman is known for her charitable work and being the only member of the British royalty to compete in the Olympic Games. Currently, Anne Elizabeth is 12th in line to the throne.

The third child, Andrew Albert Christian Edward, was born in 1960. The commander and vice admiral of the Royal Navy, he was devoted to the military career, and even serving during the Falklands War as a helicopter pilot.

Currently, Prince Andrew is sixth in line to the throne.

The last child of the British royals is Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. Edward Antony Richard Louis was born in 1964 at Buckingham Palace. After the failing attempt to join the Marines, he pursued television production and founded his own company - Ardent Productions.

He is now the president of the Commonwealth Games Federation and Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. Edward is ninth in line to the throne.

During 70 years of motherhood, Queen Elizabeth II had complicated relationships with her children. The controversial childhood of Prince Charles led many people to consider her a bad mother. However, the children proved their mother's warmth and caring nature many times.

During all these years, Elizabeth became more caring and flexible with her schedules. Today, the queen is enjoying her time with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren the most.
