One of the best American actresses, Jessica Lange, has turned 68 this year. However, beauty and stylish elegance seem to form an integral part of this woman.

Life and career achievements of this legendary actress are almost unbelievable. With two Academy Awards (six nominations) and three Primetime Emmy Awards, Lange is one of the most awarded actresses. When she received her Tony Award in 2016, the talented actress achieved the Triple Crown of Acting.

Furthermore, Jessica Lange is a published photographer. She is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and has helped a lot of people who are in danger of HIV/AIDS in Congo and Russia. The actress, however, likes to emphasize her three children as the pinnacle of her life. In this day and age, it must be unimaginably difficult to balance a family and career like Jessica does.

The years go by

Hollywood is unfortunately notorious for being harsh and judgmental towards aging actresses. Despite that, Jessica had managed to build herself a career that spans over 40 years. From a captivating blonde, all the way to playing an old witch, it was her remarkable acting skills that kept her on screen.

Aging in Hollywood

Lange's newest project is starring in an FX show called 'Feud'. The show centers around Joan Crawford and Bette Davis exploring aging in Hollywood back in the day. In an interview, Jessica has given her own thoughts about Hollywood ageism today.

I don’t think it has changed very much to tell you the truth. I don’t. It’s not a question of age or looks. If the powers that be aren’t interested in a story of a woman of a certain age, then older women won’t be cast in those stories.

We are sure that the fabulous actress will find roles regardless of her age, but we support her words against ageism in the film industry.
