Susan Lucci (born on December 23rd, 1946, in Scarsdale, New York) is the American actress, television host, entrepreneur, and author. She is best known for her iconic role of Erica Kane on All My Children, an ABC daytime drama, which aired for 41 years. The New York Times and Los Angeles Time cited the beautiful actress as the highest paid actress in daytime television, earning as much as $1million dollar a year in 1991.
Personal life and career achievements
Susan attended and graduated from Marymount College with a BA degree in Drama in 1968. Between 1970 to 2011, while acting on All My Children, she was nominated 12 times by Daytime Emmy Awards as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, and she won it once in 1999. Before finally winning the Emmy, she had been mocked by the media. The television series was canceled by ABC in 2011.
